About the SEO Strategist role

Booyah Advertising is seeking a full-time experienced and communicative SEO Strategist to help ideate, generate, and amplify our enterprise clients’ SEO initiatives. The SEO Strategist will oversee a wide variety of SEO strategy including on-site SEO, technical SEO, and off-site SEO and a team to help execute the strategy. Beyond, the SEO Strategist will be responsible for working with clients’ teams, external content writers/vendors, and internal channels to ensure the integrated strategy is actualized. This role requires a keen eye to identify SEO opportunity, lead the team to execute SEO strategy, work with the client and internal teams to implement strategy, and then articulate the long-term strategy vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and oversees execution of SEO strategies designed to exceed client goals and KPIs   
  • Manages performance and talent development of SEO Managers and Coordinators 
  • Leads weekly client calls to discuss account performance, interpretation of data, and action plans based on findings  
  • Cultivates client and vendor relationships by establishing open communication built around trust, honesty, and transparency 
  • Develops and presents materials for client Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) in collaboration with Directors  
  • Ensures strategic consistency across all campaign development and optimization within accounts 
  • Oversees risk management through proper QA as documented within various search SOPs 
  • Stays current on industry news and trends, supports testing of innovative products and bold initiatives 
  • Participates in agency trainings and channel roundtables by discussing industry updates, sharing recent testing ideas and account initiatives, and presenting data-driven insights 
  • Displays thought leadership through knowledge sharing across agency and publicly communicating POVs to clients, vendors, and industry peers  
  • Acts as a motivator and leader while contributing to the long-term vision of the “Booyah Way” 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of client-facing experience within the SEO channel at an agency 
  • 4+ years experience doing on-sitetechnical SEO, and off-site SEO with larger, enterprise sites (sites with 1000+ URLs) 
  • Experience successfully training others on SEO tactics  
  • Experience successfully managing others on client communication, account management 
  • Highly experienced in campaign development, execution, and optimization best practices across various search engines 
  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and tracking implementation requirements 
  • Strong knowledge of keyword research, technical SEO optimizations, on-site SEO optimizations, and off-site SEO optimizations 
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts and processes effectively and/or previous training experience 
  • Proficiency of SEO tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and/or BrightEdge 
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Javascript 
  • Ability to work well within and motivate a team

Salary: $70,000 to $85,000 plus Quarterly Bonus based on Team Growth
Wage differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training and experience.
